Volvo XC plans to add a little more to his line in the near future. The Volvo XC60 XC60 SUV should be available to the public in 2008. The news comes from some of the guys from World Car Fans, who say the vehicle should be known instead of Volvo XC60 and Volvo XC50 also shared a platform with the V70. Based on the platform of the Ford C1 EUCD, the Volvo XC60 should use the same engines that the S40 and V50. It is also expected to share much with the next generation of Land Rover Freelander/LR3, including its system of permanent traction.
Despite the fact that at the moment is only a concept, the car should be presented at the Salon de l'Automobile in Detroit in January next year and-as we said above-go on sale in 2008. It is expected that the Volvo XC60 is the size of a Toyota RAV4 and to compete with models like the Lexus RX, BMW X3 and the new Acura RDX. Volvo XC60 at the Geneva show

Way off for the Volvo XC60

Geneva Motor Show: Volvo XC60
