Bugatti Veyron Cabrio arrives with the stylish daytime running lights, higher windscreen and transparent, lightweight polycarbonate roof.
The main challenge met in creating Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Cabrio was the detachable roof. It had to preserve its rigidity and the crash safety, hence engineers had to re-design load paths and insert extra protection in case Cabrio rolls over.
Bugatti Veyron cabrio’s monocoque structure has been reinforced around side skirts and transmission tunnels. Making use of carbon fibre support, the B-pillers have been the cross stiffed, and mid carbon plate has been situated under transmission tunnel to make certain the car suffers from a less tensional flexing than any another roadster.
The car will have carbon fibre doors and it features the integrated longitudinal beam and an air intake has been updated and now features 10cm wide carbon fibre elements to provide protection.
